Chief Operating Officer, Program Manager, Event & Productions Director at Hadley Impact
Genna has been actively involved in the nonprofit sector for over a decade. Starting at age fifteen she organized her peers to plan, prepare and teach deaf students in Nairobi, Kenya. Her time in Kenya became a defining moment in her life.
Since then, she has worked both nationally and internationally with organizations whose missions range from economic development, education, child sex trafficking, and peace and reconciliation. She has a background in secondary education where she taught theater, film, directing, performance, and stage management for two years. Under her direction, their school's production of West Side Story won Best Musical in the State of Utah.
During her teaching career she worked as the Concert Director for Child Rescue’s Candlelight Serenade, a benefit concert to raise awareness and education about child sex trafficking in the U.S. and Canada. She also worked as the Concert Director for The End of Polio Concert in Perth Australia. The event and overarching campaign is credited for raising $118 Million for Polio Eradication and was internationally broadcasted reaching millions of people. She was later hired as the Program Director for Child Rescue where she created their for-youth-by-youth program called Backyard Broadcast. This program educated and empowered students nationwide to educate their peers about the issues of sex-trafficking. Genna has also enjoyed working with the Global Poverty Project as the evening’s Program Director for Utah’s Night for Global Citizens with Larry King.
In 2014, Genna worked as Partner Manager for FilmRaise, an online platform that connects filmmakers, charities, and viewers for social change. Genna is passionate for all things that promote compassion, love, and equality. Her most fulfilling role in life is being a wife and mother.
