Ryan Nyquist

Ryan Nyquist a professional BMX rider with 16 X-Games medals, 39 X-Games competition starts and 60 Dew Tour finals appearances (most all-time). Ryan is considered one of the greatest and diversely skilled BMX riders ever. He has won numerous gold medals in the X Games Dirt Jumping & Bike Park events. Recently Ryan has had an interest in freeride mountain biking and has been training in mountain biking as well as BMX.  His name has become synonymous with the sport of BMX. Nyquist has been riding since the age of three and it doesn’t look like the multi-X Games medalist is slowing down anytime soon as he truly is a gifted and versatile rider. At one point in his career, he competed in all three disciplines of freestyle BMX: Dirt, Street, and Vert—an accomplishment that has been duplicated by only a few riders since.

The BMX world wouldn’t be the same without Ryan, whose amazing talent and numerous accomplishments have etched his name in the BMX history books as the sport’s most winningest rider ever. His accolades are many; he has swept several competition series more than once including the Vans Triple Crown, Dew Tour, and King of Dirt contests. He has won every major title in the BMX world and has maintained his high standard of success as he took home the Silver medal at X Games Barcelona 2013 and Bronze at X Games Foz do Iguacu 2013, both in BMX Park upping his total X Games medal count to 17. In 2015, Ryan decided to broaden his horizons and try out MTB Slopestyle. The challenge and excitement of the sport captured Ryan's interest, and he has committed to a full MTB Slopestyle competition schedule, as well as his full BMX competition schedule. As a dual sport athlete, this summer will most definitely be a busy one, but Ryan has never been one to shy away from a challenge.

He currently rides for Haro Bikes, Vans Shoes, Rockstar Energy Drink, and The Jiffy Market of Los Gatos.

Ryan will be coaching the U.S. team in the discipline's debut at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

When not competing, Ryan is back home in Santa Cruz, California having as much fun as possible with his wife and three sons. Ryan has been part of the Haro Bikes family since 1997.
