Ryan Hayes thrives on the excitement of discovery, which has led him to travel the world and become a student of many disciplines. While working professionally as a geologist, he is increasingly enchanted by the humanities and works most passionately as a songwriter. Some of his best accomplishments include a stint on NBC's The Voice in the folk duo Midas Whale, a rock opera called Deep Love, and an album deemed by his mother to be "The best album of the year".
