Carlos Cruz-Abrams is the Chief Executive Officer and a Co-Founder of Main Street Exchange. The Main Street Exchange is a web-based platform that automates the regulatory compliance processes for private company financings, using secure and innovative technology to allow companies to take control of their own financing needs. Designed by an experienced securities and startup lawyer, paralegals, successful entrepreneurs, VC accountants and expert coders, MSE is focused on providing a simple, secure end-to-end financing experience for companies that ensures compliance with federal and state securities laws. It is time that the mystery behind private company financing be removed.

Carlos is formerly a Partner in the Boulder office of Kendall, Koenig & Oelsner, a corporate boutique law firm where he represented both issuers and underwriters in public and private corporate finance transactions, public companies with respect to their '34 Act reporting, and investors and both closely-held and public companies on a wide range of corporate matters including entity formations, strategic and financial mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and general corporate governance. He has significant experience working with startups, venture capital firms and angel investors, as well as working with larger companies at every stage in their corporate development.

Carlos earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2000 where he was a member of the managing board of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal. He earned his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Harvard College in 1997.

In 2011, Carlos was recognized in Super Lawyers New York magazine as a Rising Star in securities and corporate finance. In 2015, Carlos was named one of Boulder Valley's Forty under 40.
